Who we are
TN Stone Pty Ltd (ABN 54 924 927 180) is a Melbourne stonemasonry, tiling and waterproofing business. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you request a quote. Our quote forms ask for your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the service you are interested in and any details you choose to give us. Your enquiry is emailed to us together with the date and time, the internet (IP) address it was sent from and a reference number.
How you found us. So we can understand which sources lead to enquiries, pages that carry our analytics remember how you first found us and how your latest visit began: the first page you opened, the website or link that brought you here (for example a search engine or an AI assistant such as ChatGPT), and the date and time. This is stored in your own browser, where the record of your first visit is replaced after 30 days, and is included with a quote request you choose to send us; it is not sent to us otherwise.
When you browse the website. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the website is used. Google Analytics is now active on most of our website. The remaining pages are being added in stages. Where it is active, it uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, the approximate region you are in, your device and browser type, and the site that referred you. It also records when someone taps a phone or email link and when a quote request is sent successfully or fails to send. We do not send your name, email address, phone number or the contents of your enquiry to Google Analytics. Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs of requests to the site, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and carry out work you engage us for.
- To keep records of enquiries and jobs for our business.
- To understand how people find and use the website so we can improve it.
- To keep the website and our enquiry form secure and free of spam.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
We use service providers to run the website and our email. Your information is handled by them only so they can provide those services to us:
- Hostinger hosts the website and our email.
- Google provides Google Analytics. Analytics information is processed on Google's servers, which may be located outside Australia.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Quote enquiries we receive by email are kept as business records for as long as we need them for quoting, the job and our record-keeping obligations.
- The website keeps a private log of each form submission (time, reference number and delivery status, with no names or contact details) for up to 180 days.
- If an enquiry cannot be delivered to our inbox, a copy is held privately for up to 30 days so we can recover it, then deleted automatically.
- Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your choices
You can browse this website without giving us any personal information. If you would rather not be counted in our analytics, you can opt out for this device using the button below, block cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The website also respects the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track settings in your browser: if either is switched on, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an enquiry you have sent. Contact us at info@tnstone.com.au or 0401 537 806 and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
